REVIEW: The Flash Episode 404
The Flash continues its season with this fourth episode of this fourth season, entitled “Elongated Journey into Night”, and in it we met another one of the 12 new metahumans who found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time.
After finding out the two metahumans they have faced so far weren’t the only ones, and that there are still ten more out there, team Flash started trying to find out the identities of these people, which lead them to Ralph Dibny, an ex-police officer who definitely did not have Barry Allen has a personal fan. It was discovered that he was the lead detective in one of Barry’s first cases, and he planted evidence which lead to a suspect’s arrest. Barry was the one who found out about this, which made Dibny get fired. I thought it was interesting that Barry kind of started to identify himself in Dibny, later in the episode. Lately, Barry has also just arrested criminals basing only pretty much on his own morals. I thought it was also interesting they didn’t reveal if the husband was the actual killer or not, leaving what the ex-detective did as still a good or a bad thing.
It didn’t take long for Barry and Joe to find out Dibny actually was on the bus that day, and after that be became the Elongated Man. It was great seeing that Caitlin took a special interest in this guy, because she kind of identified herself in him, with just one difference: no one believed in him, like they used to believe in her. And this was what made her help him.
Dibny continued to be a little bit of a jerk after he got control over his powers, but it was good to see that in the end he turned to the good side of things. Unlike most of the episodes of this show, this time the real villain wasn’t the newly discovered metahuman, but someone who should have as their duty to always protect people: the Mayor. Dibny had a few incriminating pictures of him with another woman, and let’s just say he didn’t like that very much, to the point he wanted to kill, not only Dibny, but also Barry and Joe. In end of the episode, Dibny helped Barry save Joe, and that seems to be the beginning of a partnership, because these two are now friends, and maybe even teacher and student. I hope we get to see Dibny again.
In the meantime, while Barry was busy with all of this, Cisco had some bigger issues to worry about: Gypsy’s father came to our Earth for another chapter of what could definitely be a book he had written, “How to be Super Overprotective When It Comes to Your Daughter”. Apparently, he doesn’t really like the idea of his daughter dating, and he even killed a previous boyfriend of hers. Entering the family tradition, Cisco had to run from Gypsy’s father for 24 hours, in what definitely was a very cat and mouse game, with several ups and downs. In the end, Breacher realized Cisco might just be good enough for his daughter. Glad he caught up with the rest of us. In this episode, we even found out Gypsy’s real name: Cynthia.
What I liked least about this episode was the fact that Cecile is pregnant was pretty much ignored. We didn’t even got to see her in any part of the episode, and this was only mentioned once, and also in a very weird way, in my opinion. I really didn’t like how they handled the pregnancy in this episode, and I am hoping they start to make it matter more in upcoming episodes. After all, this is a big deal, because the family is growing more and more.
Overall, this was a good episode. The Cisco storyline was really funny, and I also liked Dibny’s character, and, as I said, I hope we see him again, because after all that was what we were promised. I am giving this episode an 8.7/10.
The fifth episode of the season is entitled “Girls Night Out”, and in it the Killer Frost storyline will finally be resumed. Not to mention that Felicity is going to pay Iris a visit, so don’t miss it.

Katee Sackhoff took to Twitter to announce the first official photo of her as Amunet Black in The Flash Season 4. She is the villain who appears in the episode “Girl’s Night Out.”
Sackhoff was announced back in August that she would be a guest star in The Flash. Black, also known as Blacksmith, runs a black market for supervillains.

REVIEW: The Flash, Episode 403
The Flash continues its fourth season with this third episode, entitled “Luck Be a Lady”, and luck, both good and bad, really had a major impact in it.
In this new episode, we were introduced to the life of Rebecca Sharpe, later known as Hazard, and it was a very unfortune life I must say. Her life totally was a series of unfortunate events (pun intended): boyfriend was cheating on her, she got fired, people always ignored her requests… all until one day she got on a bus. Then everything changed. And not just for her of course, but 11 more people. I was glad they gave a reason why the Thinker wanted the flash back: it wasn’t about the flash himself, but about creating more metahumans. We still don’t know why, but I hope we will find out soon, since he seems to be taking a special interest in them.
Her life completely changed that day: instead of living a life of bad luck, her meta power was luck itself. And while she is extremely lucky, everyone around her is extremely unlucky, including of course, Team Flash. This wave of bad luck was really funny to watch, at least for me. As much as the Flash tried to get her, she was always able to outrun him. Even when Iris tried to get married with Barry, since things were not going well with the wedding plans, the priest had an allergy attack and they were both left hanging.
But Iris and Barry were definitely not the only ones with bad luck in this episode, Joe and Cecile also had their fair share of it. Their house completely started to fall apart, with the pipes blowing up, and the house making weird noises. It was such a mess Cecile saw no other option than to move out. Joe didn’t like the idea at first and that is understandable. That was the house in which he spent most of his life, in which he raised his children. Of course he would still have those memories if they moved out, but it wouldn’t be the same thing. But because he is a gentleman, Joe decided he could move, for Cecile (and of course because the house was falling apart). I was happy that Cecile didn’t make him move after all, because that is, and always will be, the house of the Wests. But this wasn’t the only news Cecile had for Joe. In the end of the episode she dropped a bombshell: she is pregnant. To be honest, I really can’t say what Joe thinks about this. Maybe he was just surprised, but happy? One thing is for sure, he is not going to pull this child away because we can tell he already suffered enough when he realized he missed most of Wally’s life.
In happier news (or at least news everyone seemed to be excited about), Harry came back from his Earth (finally). He said he was staying because he would take care of the team Flash against Hazard, but what really happened was that he was thrown out of Jessie’s own team, so he had nowhere else to go. As expected, Cisco told him he could stay, and I bet everyone was happy about that. I love Harry, and that seems like a popular opinion, so I bet I wasn’t the only one happy he is back for good. And he already started saving everyone, because he was the one who came out with a way to extract Hazard’s good luck.
In the other hand, Wally was a bit down this episode, and nothing besides that would be to expect, since the episode started with Jessie breaking up with him in one of the most horrible ways to do so. And things grew even worse when Wally left, and no one realized he did. To be honest, I didn’t realize it either. That is probably when he fully realized that, now that the Flash is back, he isn’t needed anymore, and that is why he is leaving Central City. I think he made the right choice because if no one notices when he is gone, then he should go find people who do, because it will only be then that he will really start to be happy.
Overall this was a great episode, the best so far this season. It was really funny seeing all the bad luck come out of everywhere, and also to pretty much see Team Flash defeat itself (that is how unlucky they were). I am giving this episode an 8.9/10.
Next week’s episode is entitled “Elongated Journey Into Night”, and in it, Cisco will surprisingly meet Gypsy’s father, which means that some more funny moments our coming our way, so stay tuned.

REVIEW: The Flash, Episode 402
After the season premiere last week, The Flash returns once again with another episode, this one entitled “Mixed Signals”, and in it we met another metahuman, one who can control technology.
We all probably already heard someone say that technology would one day turn against us, but in the latest episode of The Flash that was probably much more literal than everyone was expecting. In the first scene of the episode, we saw a guy getting killed by an elevator (I am guessing that was a first), and when the Flash Team went to investigate, they found out it was hacked. But that poor man was just the beginning, because the meta went after another guy, hacking his car. Luckily for him, the Flash managed to save his life, but barely actually, because Barry thought he could do everything by himself (more on that latter). After finding out a connection between these two targets, Team Flash found the killer, and that was when technology really started failing the Team. All those great attributes Cisco added to the suit, literally turned against Barry. I guess the latest model would have worked just fine. Barry decided to trust Iris this time, and he did what she told him to, which probably saved his life.
It was after they put Ramsey Deacon behind bars that questions started popping up. Ramsey was nowhere near Central City when the particle accelerator exploded, so he gained his powers in a whole new way. Maybe that has something to do with The Thinker? Could be, since he seemed interested in these new metahumans in the end of the episode. To be honest, it kind of looks like they are trying to stall The Thinker storyline a little bit. Even though he was in both these episodes, he was only in the last minute of each one. I hope we will find out more about him or his plan soon, because it wouldn’t be that interesting to see Barry fight some random metahumans for most of the season, when there seems to be a much better villain in Central City.
It was really nice seeing Barry happy in the beginning of the episode. We usually see him so worried about saving everyone, and having to fight the bad guys, that he usually doesn’t even get to enjoy life as Barry Allen. Because of all this, it was really great seeing him singing and dancing while making breakfast, and even catching up on TV at flash speed. But of course things can’t only be bright, and that was why Iris decided to go to couple’s therapy. The first session was a total failure, but the second one was much more productive. Even though I don’t agree with Iris very often, she was totally right in this one, because Barry really did bail on her. I always thought the last season finale was a bit weird and there were a few things which didn’t add up, and this was totally one of them. Barry really did run away from everyone. He simply told them a few last words, and left, without any idea if he would ever get back or not. Finally, he decided to face that, and told Iris he didn’t want her to stop him. That kind of makes sense, but also doesn’t really at the same time. He could have totally tried to find another way before giving himself in. But controversial matters aside, I was glad Barry and Iris ended the episode happy and with their wedding plans still intact.
Another couple that ended the episode happy was Cisco and Gypsy. That’s right, Gypsy is back. I really like her and the relationship between her and Cisco. They are so funny and great together. This time, Gypsy came to celebrate day 111 (whatever that is; maybe a different version of Valentine’s day?), but Cisco didn’t know about it, so he cancelled their date to go catch the bad guy. It was so funny seeing that Gypsy did care about her world’s tradition, but she was pretending she didn’t, so that she wouldn’t sound sentimental. They ended up celebrating the day 112 instead, which probably lead to the same.
Overall, this was a good episode, better than the premiere in my opinion. It felt a little bit like going back to the beginning of the show, when they were all fighting to live another day. I am giving this episode an 8.5/10.
Next episode is entitled “Luck Be a Lady”, and luck will definitely play a major part in it, since there will be a new metahuman who gives people bad luck. And, to make things better, Harry Wells is coming back, so you really shouldn’t miss it.
REVIEW: The Flash, Episode 401
After a very long hiatus (as usual), The Flash is finally back with this season four premiere, entitled “The Flash Reborn”. In it, the fight between team flash and the bad guys continued, as Barry returned.
Six months after the events of last season, team Flash (or Team Kid Flash, or even Team Vibe), kept on taking down bad guys, and I was so glad Iris finally started to do something. It feels like she really doesn’t do many good things to help the team, but in this episode, it was like she was almost a different character. The episode started with the team successfully catching Peek-a-Boo, which was a great choice, in contrary to bringing a whole new meta-human they weren’t going to develop.
Meanwhile, we saw how life was without Barry. It was good to see that everyone moved on, instead of just falling apart and drowning in self-pity like the people Barry saw when he traveled to the future in the previous season. Joe continued dating Cecile, and they were even going to move in together. Everyone really seemed happy (or at least as happy as they could be without Barry). It was just a shame we didn’t get to see Harry, or Doctor Wells, or whatever you want to call him, but I am sure Tom Cavanagh will be back real soon.
It was after this that the real trouble started: a samurai showed up demanding the Flash. The real flash. He said they had a day to get him back or he would destroy Central City, and he definitely showed he could do it. Nothing like desperation and pressure of having everyone killed to get a job done, so Cisco revealed he had been working on a way to bring Barry back. With Caitlin’s help (she turned to a bartender, which is definitely weird), they managed to do it, but it really did not go as expected. Barry did come back but he had totally lost his mind.
After trying to find ways to actually bring Barry back from that miserable state of his (and failing), the team was really starting to give up. It is really fair to say Barry completely lost it. Of course it did make sense, because even though I don’t fully understand what the “Speed Force” is, they said maybe he knew the secrets of the universe, or something, , not to mention he was tortured for who knows how many time (since time may move differently in the Speed Force). In a total leap of faith, Iris surrendered herself to the samurai, hoping that would make Barry come back. Call her crazy but it did work. Barry put all of his personal trouble aside and literally ran after his fiancé, faster than anyone on this planet ever ran.
After doing what the Flash does, Barry found out the samurai was a robot. They went back to Star Labs and the episode almost had a happy ending, if it wasn’t for 2 things: Caitlin didn’t really succeed in keeping Killer Frost at bay, since she still pops up every now and then, when she gets mad; and we saw the new villain of the season: The Thinker.
I was really glad when I found out the new villain wasn’t going to be a speedster again. It was cool seeing Barry had to fight someone with a similar gift than him, meaning he had to always outrun them, but this idea doesn’t last forever and, in my opinion, season 3 was proof of that, since it is definitely my least favorite season up until this point. Now with The Thinker, I really hope things will take a much different turn for the better and this show starts to get back on its feet.
We only had a small glance of him, so we don’t really know what to expect yet, but seeing that robot was simply one of his minions, he will totally be a very dangerous foe, I am really can’t wait to see more of this Thinker.
This was a good start for this season. There wasn’t much about it that was surprising, since I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we totally knew the Flash was going to be back, but it is just the beginning, so let’s give it a chance. I am giving this episode an 8.3/10.
The second episode of this forth season is entitled “Mixed Signals”, and in it we will be introduced to another meta-human, while Barry will adjust to a life he left behind six month before, so don’t miss it.

Two-Night Arrowverse Crossover Announced
The CW has announced that the 2017-2018 television season’s Arrowverse crossover event will take place over two nights at the Television Critics Association summer press tour.
The crossover event beings Monday, November 27 on Supergirl, followed by a special Monday episode of Arrow. The crossover continues Tuesday, November 28 on The Flash, then concludes on that night’s DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
CW boss Mark Pedowitz said that with The Flash and Legends already paired up on Tuesdays — and after discussions with producers and the marketing department — “We felt that it would be better and tighter in storytelling…. This was the best way to go.”
“Next year we may go back to four nights,” he allowed.
Pedowitz also made clear that unlike last year’s event, which technically started but barely took place on Supergirl, “It’s a full, four-episode crossover.” As for how one tops an alien invasion as a premise for the all-star team-up, all he would say is, “Romance is in the air.”
The Arrowverse’s very first crossover took place in December 2014 and started on The Flash and concluded on Arrow. In December 2015, Legends of Tomorrow villain Vandal Savage targeted Central City barista Kendra Saunders, triggering the involvement of Flash and Arrow heroes. Last year’s four-show, three-night event included Supergirl, as the many Superfriends battled the alien race known as The Dominators.
