Barry Allen might be out of commission, but another superhero might become the Central City protector. The CW has released a promo for next week’s episode of The Flash, “The Elongated Knight Rises,” which promises to be big on elastic heroism.
Currently, Barry Allen is out of the superhero game, but the supervillains of Central City still pose a threat. The surprise return of the Trickster means it’s up to Ralph Dibny to step up to the plate. Donning his proto-costume, the Elongated Man is poised to reveal himself to the world.
Here is the synopsis for the upcoming episode:
THE RISE OF THE HERO — When a familiar villain returns to terrorize Central City, Ralph (guest star Hartley Sawyer) must rise up to defend the innocent while Barry (Grant Gustin) is detained by his trial. Meanwhile, Barry searches for the strength to keep his optimism alive in the face of his new circumstances.
“The Elongated Knight Rises” airs next Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

Kid Flash To Join Legends of Tomorrow
After much speculation, The Flash’s Wally West will be joining the Legends of Tomorrow team… at least for now.
Many fans have suggested that Keiynan Lonsdale’s Wally West from The Flash would make a good addition to the show’s cast, and now star Brandon Routh has effectively confirmed the character’s inclusion.
During last weekend’s DC in DC event, Routh said that Kid Flash will become a member of the team “for a little bit.” He has not been confirmed to be a permanent addition to the team.
In Legends’ midseason finale, the team obtained two newbies, John Constantine (Matt Ryan) and Citizen Cold (Wentworth Miller), but neither are a permanent fixture. However, it’s not known whether Wally will stick around or merely serve as another rotating cast member.
Legends of Tomorrow returns to The CW Feb. 12.

Arrow Episode Photos: “We Fall”
The CW has released some first look photos for next weeks episode, “We Fall.”
In some of these photos, we see William (Jack Moore) on the run, in danger as a direct result of Cayden James’ evil. We also see Oliver doing his best to get his son to safety, but it looks as though that action has put him in the crosshairs as well.
Another thing we see in these photos is Team Arrow working together.
You can check out the photos below as well as the synopsis for the upcoming episode.
WILLIAM LANDS IN CAYDEN JAMES’ CROSSHAIRS — Cayden James (guest star Michael Emerson) ups the ante by launching his plan to take control of every aspect of the city. Despite the scope of Cayden’s plan, Oliver (Stephen Amell) is determined to foil it with just the Original Team Arrow — and without the aid of Rene (Rick Gonzalez), Dinah (Juliana Harkavy), or Curtis (Echo Kellum). But things get complicated when William (guest star Jack Moore) is endangered as a result of Cayden’s handiwork.
New episodes of Arrow air on Thursday nights at 9pm ET on The CW.

The Flash Extended Trailer: Barry Goes To Court
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNkKNUfK7ew
Barry Allen seems to have run into a little trouble with the law.
With the midseason premiere of The Flash coming up, The CW has released an extended trailer for the episode “The Trial of The Flash.”
In the trailer, we see Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) being framed for the murder of Clifford DeVoe/The Thinker (Neil Sandilands). The promo shows just what lengths Team Flash will go to to help Barry, with Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) and Ralph Dibny/Elongated Man (Hartley Sawyer) breaking into the DeVoe house.
Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) also joins the fight to help her husband as we see her go head-to-head with Marlize DeVoe/The Mechanic (Kim Engelbrecht), who has been dealing with the unique situation of Clifford’s sort of resurrection into Dominic Lanse (Kendrick Sampson).
The Flash returns with “The Trial of The Flash” Tuesday, January 16 @ 8/7c on the CW.

Production Begins On Legends of Tomorrow Episode “Amazing Grace”
Legends of Tomorrow fans are going to have to wait a little longer for the return of the show, but in the meantime the show’s stars are getting back to work.
Both Dominic Purcell and Nick Zano, who play Mick Rory/Heat Wave and Nate Heywood/Steel respectively, shared photos to Instagram indicating that the cast was back to work filming for the series.

While Purcell’s photo doesn’t show much more than a typical Mick Rory facial expression, Zano’s photo gives us a glimpse at the upcoming title for episode 14.

As for what figure “Amazing Grace” might refer to, that’s anyone’s guess, though Legends star Caity Lotz (Sara Lance/White Canary) posted a photo on her own Twitter account showing her hair done in a curled style with the caption “My 1950s house wife or running for office Hair.”

It was enough for fans to speculate that the “Grace” in the episode title might refer to Grace Hopper, United States Navy rear admiral and pioneer of computer programming whose work led to the development of COBOL, an early high-level computer programming language that is still in use today. Hopper was referred to as “Amazing Grace” because of her accomplishments.
Whatever the meaning of the title, fans have to wait until the return of the show on Feb. 26 with the premiere of the tenth episode titled “Daddy Darhkest.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=22&v=wnJ3O_0dnlA
A new trailer has been released for The CW’s upcoming show Black Lightning!
In this one we see a bit more than our famous Jefferson Pierece (Cress Williams). In this trailer, we get our first look at villain Tobias Whale (Marvin “Krondon” Jones III,) leader of the local gang, The One Hundred.
“Do you believe in the resurrection?” Tobias asks in the trailer, but it’s not religion the gangster is talking about. Instead, he’s referring to the return of the vigilante Black Lightning. It’s a resurrection that Tobias is clearly not happy about it.
Black Lightning premieres January 16 @ 9/8c on The CW.
