In order to promote their Blu-Ray and DVD releases, ABC’s Once Upon a Time has unveiled a brand new deleted scene.
The scene features David (Josh Dallas) and a sleeping Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) as her Prince Charming reveals why he doesn’t use his wish to wake her up.
According to TV Line, when the scene aired, Dallas originally said it was because of the consequences such wish might bring on his lover. However, in this scene, we get to go deeper into David’s decision.
The Blu-Ray and DVD will be available August 15, and will include more deleted scenes as well as BTS clips, featurettes and interviews.

Once Upon A Time Showrunners Explain New Curse
The times they are a-changin’ on ABC’s Once Upon A Time. The series will feature a massive time jump and a brand new location for its upcoming seventh season. But not only will our favorite characters survive the time jump and new location… they will also have to deal with a brand new curse which will be much harder to break free from.
The new curse is set by the series’ new villain Lady Tremaine (played by Gabrielle Anwar). “As often is the case on Once Upon A Time, there’s more than meets the eye to what we know about the character. Lady Tremaine doesn’t like Cinderella very much and she’s got an agenda. But there is something broiling beneath that’s personal and painful that is driving all of this,” says executive producer Adam Horowitz to EW.
“She’s somebody who wants to get to the top and will use any means necessary. So why it’s important for her to be royal, why it’s important for her to crush everyone else, is the story of the year. In true Once Upon A Time fashion, evil isn’t born, it’s made, and we’ll see that with her as well,” added executive producer Edward Kitsis.
As expected, the new curse has created a Storybrooke-esque town called Hyperion Heights in Seattle, Washington (aka the Land Without Magic). But don’t consider this town Storybrooke 2.0. Lady Tremaine has thrown in a twist. “We’re going to see in Hyperion Heights that the role Lady Tremaine has taken is very similar in terms of getting to the top, in terms of being a developer, who is this character who is trying to push out the fairy tale characters who are living in Hyperion Heights, gentrifying the neighborhood and bringing other people in,” says executive producer David H. Goodman.
Horowitz: “We’re in a city now. Hyperion Heights is part of Seattle the way Brooklyn is part of New York. It’s more densely populated and it’s filled with fairy tale characters and non-fairy tale characters and that’s another interaction and vibe that we didn’t really have in Storybrooke, where it was all the cursed people.”
And the Tremaine twist is: “Lady Tremaine learned the lesson that Regina didn’t, which is don’t keep them all together where one day they can find themselves, push them the hell out! You push them the hell out and you gentrify the neighborhood and you bring in a cold press juicer and they can’t afford it anymore, then you won’t worry about the Pied Piper finding, you know, Alice,” added Kitsis.
[WPGP gif_id=”6321″ width=”600″]
Goodman: “[Lady Tremaine] is sort of Regina-prime and she’s trying to figure out a way to scatter these fairy tale characters to the wind so they can’t be together, because as we’ve always seen, when these characters get together, they always figure out how to beat the bad guy. Not giving anything away what the curse is, but she’s learning and standing on the backs of these other curses that have come before her to be as effective a villain as possible.”
But wait… Lady Tremaine has the power. Lady Tremaine is separating the fairy tale characters. So is it official that she cast the new curse?
Kitsis: “We said very clearly in the pilot of Once Upon A Time that Regina cast the curse. What you’ll see this season is we don’t necessarily say that in the premiere.”
So, who cast the new curse?
Once Upon A Time returns Friday, October 6 at 8pm/7c on ABC.

SDCC: ‘Once Upon a Time’ Season 7 Trailer Reveals Police Officer Hook and New Characters
This year’s San Diego Comic-Con is giving us every trailer we’ve been waiting for, including Once Upon a Time.
A whole bunch of new information also came out about the show. Executive producer Eddy Kitsis confirmed that nothing from the previous six season will be erased.
According to TV Line, executive producers of the show revealed some new info about the plot, saying we will see the same versions of Hook, Rumple and the Queen, “Henry wants to visit other storybooks with different stories and characters. He falls in love with Cinderella, much like the romance his grandparents had. He gets into some trouble and calls out for help from his family.”
Fans at Comic-Con were shown the first two scenes of the upcoming season, and TV Line also gave us some info on that.
Young Henry (played by Gilmore) tells Regina he needs to leave Storybrooke in order to find out what his own story is and where he belongs (after finding hundreds of other books in the sorcerer’s mansion. “How long will you be gone?” Regina asks, to which Henry replies, “As long as it takes.” He then hops on a motorcycle — which August taught him how to ride — before riding off through a portal to a new realm.
We then see West’s grown-up Henry riding his motorcycle in another realm, “years later,” at which point he accidentally crashes into Cinderella’s carriage.
Kitsis also confirmed that they’re planning on doing a “prominent LGBTQ storyline” this year.
The recently launched trailer gives us our first looks at our new characters: Dania Ramirez’s Cinderella, Rose Reynolds’ Alice, Adelaide Kane’s Drizella, Mekia Cox’s Tiana and Gabriella Anwar’s Lady Tremaine aka Cinderella’s stepmother.
The trailer also features our favorite Captain Hook as a policeman and reveals a whole lot more information about the plot.

‘Once Upon a Time:’ Dania Ramirez’s Character Revealed (Photos)
At this weekend’s D23 Expo, it was revealed that Cinderella will get a new story.
Executive producer of Once Upon a Time, Eddy Kitsis revealed this Saturday that new cast member Dania Ramirez will play Cinderella in the seventh season of the show.
It was also confirmed that Ramirez is playing Henry’s wife and mother of his child. “Dania Ramirez will be playing a different version of Cinderella,” said Kitsis. “If we remember Henry’s grandfather is Prince Charming [Josh Dallas], so we have the grandson of Prince Charming with a new Cinderella.”
Kitsis said that the new season will be set in Seattle, and flashbacks will take us into the Enchanted Forest. “Henry is in a new Enchanted Forest, with characters that we have seen before but with different tales.”
As for Storybrooke he said that “we may see it a few times throughout the year” We’re going to follow him as he leaves home,” Kitsis shared, adding that Henry “wants to find his own story.”
“We’re going to follow him [Henry] as he leaves home,” Kitsis explained, which means we will see at least a little more of Jared Gilmore’s Young Henry.
The seventh season of Once Upon a Time is set to air this fall, and it will air on Friday nights instead of Sundays.

‘Once Upon a Time:’ Who’s Leaving, Who’s Staying, Who’s Joining
As you may or may not have heard, the fairy tale television series Once Upon a Time is rebuilding its cast.
Regular cast member Jennifer Morrison (Emma Swan) announced she would exit the show after the season 6 finale. The actress was offered an extension of her contract, but she declined for personal reasons she discussed with TV Line.
Rebecca Mader (Wicked Witch of the West) confirmed on May 12 in an Instagram post that she will not be returning for Season 7 either:
https://www.instagram.com/p/BT-2LNfAfy_/
Four days after Morrison’s announcement, it was confirmed that Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow White), Josh Dallas (Prince Charming), Emilie de Ravin (Belle), and Jared Gilmore (Henry Mills) were also leaving.
Co-creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis released a full statement addressing the changes.
“Words can’t do justice to what Ginny, Josh, Emilie, Rebecca and Jared brought to ONCE UPON A TIME… but we’ll try… never have we had the privilege of working with a more talented group of collaborators. Each brought unique talent, incredible intelligence, and their own individual bit of magic as they gave life to these iconic characters.
Ginny reinvented Snow White for a modern audience – there was no way she would be stuck cleaning up after dwarfs, she created an iconic empowered heroine for the 21st century.
Josh mined the depths of Prince Charming – a character who in myth was just a “type” but in his superlative interpretation became a complex man fighting for love and family.
Emilie took the character of Belle to a deep and soulful place, bringing great intelligence and warmth to the character, making her fiercely independent, strong willed but also an eternal optimist who saw only the best in all those she encountered.
Rebecca took us on a broomstick roller coaster ride as she re-invented the Wicked Witch of the West by finding the pain beneath the green. She made the character soar to incredible heights while always keeping her grounded and relatable.
And Jared literally grew up before the eyes of millions, from a child actor with enormous innate talent to a young man whose abilities continue to astound as he created a character who truly, as we say on the show, has the heart of the truest believer.
We can’t thank them enough for the hard work, dedication, and passion they delivered day in and day out. Without them there would be no ONCE UPON A TIME.
As ONCE continues, this group will always be the beating heart of the show. And even though we won’t be with them every week, in a show about magic and hope, we fervently believe it won’t be the last we see of them. “
This last sentence teases at some cameos.
We already know that the departure of these characters will be referenced in the upcoming season, and Emma Swan is set to make a cameo in one of the episodes, but will we see any more?
So that leaves us with the question: well, who the heck is staying then?!
Lana Parrilla (The Evil Queen), Robert Carlyle (Rumplestiltskin) and Colin O’Donoghue (Captain Hook) are staying for the upcoming season.
Now, who’s joining the cast?
As regulars in the TV show, Dania Ramirez (Devious Maids) and Gabrielle Anwar (Burn Notice) are set to join. Whereas Mekia Cox (Chicago Med), Rose Reynolds (Wasted) and Adelaide Kane (Reign) are joining for recurring roles in the upcoming season.
The character descriptions have not yet been released.
Andrew J West (the adult version of Henry Mills) and Alison Fernandez (Henry’s daughter, Lucy) will also be joining the show as regulars after guest starring in the Season 6 finale.
The seventh season of Once Upon a Time is set to air this fall, and it will air on Friday nights instead of Sundays.
