Everything You Need to Know About Iron Fist Season 2
The first season might not have gotten the greatest critic rating, but that hasn’t stopped the show from getting a second season. Here is everything you need to know about Iron Fist Season 2:
Release date?
The second season has only just started filming in December, around the same time as Daredevil season three, so we won’t be seeing Iron Fist season two in the same March slot as its first season. We may have to wait until March 2019 for Iron Fist season two.
Cast?
The first-look photo confirmed that Danny (Finn Jones) and Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick) would be back. Also returning will be Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum and Sacha Dhawan as Davos, Danny’s best friend from K’un-Lun.
In early December, Star Trek: Into Darkness star Alice Eve was confirmed to be joining the cast in season two. However, we don’t yet know what her role will be other than the fact that there will be “an intrigue and danger to her character unlike anyone else,” according to Marvel’s head of television Jeph Loeb.
New showrunner?
EW reported that Scott Buck was stepping down as showrunner, with Raven Metzner taking over for season two. Metzner has previously worked on the likes of Sleepy Hollow, Falling Skies and Heroes Reborn, with his main movie role to date being the writer of Elektra.
Plot?
As well as helping to defeat the Hand, Danny ended The Defenders by sitting on a rooftop in New York City, illuminated by his iron fist.
The assumption is that with Daredevil currently sidelined (depending on what happens in season three if it arrives before Iron Fist‘s second run), Danny will take over as the protector of Hell’s Kitchen, keeping it safe until Matt Murdock’s return.
Matt found himself in prison after his identity is revealed, leading to Danny ‘taking over’ as Daredevil to protect New York City and give Matt a cover story that he might not actually be Daredevil. When he was released from prison, a misunderstanding saw the two fight on a rooftop – as you do – before order was restored.

Iron Fist Season 2 Has Official Film Start Date
Iron Fist season 2 will begin filming on December 6 according to Spoiler TV.
After a rocky first season, it took a little longer for a second season to be confirmed for Iron Fist, unlike other shows such as Daredevil, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones.
Season 2 will be receiving some new updates including a new showrunner as well as Misty Knight (Simone Missick) being added as a recurring player in the show.
What’s interesting about the December start date is what it means for the premiere of the show. New seasons of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Daredevil are all set to premiere in 2018, but it is unclear whether Iron Fist season 2 will be joining them.
Seems like there’s a lot of new seasons to look forward to next year! The question is will Iron Fist be one of them?

Watch Iron Fist Punch Daredevil in the Face in Final Trailer for The Defenders
Marvel’s The Defenders drops in just hours and Netflix is not holding back with the trailers.
We already knew there was going to be some tension between the Defenders, and we kind of expected some awkward interactions, but seeing Iron Fist punch Daredevil in the face was kind of striking.
The trailer focuses a lot on Sigourney Weaver’s Alexandra as she addresses our four heroes directly.

Netflix Features a Whole Bunch of New Scenes in Latest Featurette for The Defenders
So this is like, serious business, huh?
Seems like everything won’t be just jokes and awkward interactions in the upcoming Marvel’s The Defenders.
The show drops all it’s eight episodes on Netflix this Friday, and the streaming service keeps building up excitement for the series as they’ve now released a featurette that showcases a bunch of unseen scenes.
The clips show a more serious tone to the series, which makes you realize the severity of the situation, and shows some of our favorite characters from previous shows in real danger.
In addition to that, Marvel is continuing their Twitter countdown by releasing a new short clip, now from Jessica Jones’ Twitter page.
Check out both videos below.

Watch Colleen Wing and Misty Knight Meet Up for the First Time in The Defenders Clip
It seems like each of the Defenders is dropping a short clip on Twitter as a countdown before all episodes drop on Friday. First, it was Luke Cage on Saturday.
On Sunday, Iron Fist’s Twitter page dropped our first look at Misty Knight and Colleen Wing together.
The Daughters of the Dragon is the famous team-up of the two heroines, who are set to not only appear in The Defenders but also on the second season of Iron Fist.

The FINAL Trailer for Marvel’s The Defenders is Here
The Defender drops all its episodes on Netflix in less than a week, and their publicity department is losing no time to make you hyped.
Marvel has dropped a final trailer for the upcoming series, featuring some more cool action as well as, surprisingly, a lot of Iron Fist.
The trailer seems to focus, at least at the beginning, on the way Iron Fist is trying to convince the Defenders that working together is the way to go. It also features some new action and maybe the start of a friendship between Danny Rand and Luke Cage?

Looks Like Iron Fist and Luke Cage Won’t Start Their Relationship in The Defenders on Very Good Terms
It seems like Luke Cage and Iron Fist won’t be quite the BFFs we love from the comics at the beginning of Marvel’s The Defenders.
Actors Mike Colter (Luke Cage) and Finn Jones (Iron Fist) teased during last week’s San Diego Comic-Con that the two superheroes won’t have the nicest first meeting.
Jones said he thought their interaction was surprising, “everyone knows us as being BFFs and actually the first time we see each other there’s conflict, and it grounds and roots the characters into reality a little bit better, which I think is really interesting.”
Colter added that he thinks the way they first interact is due to the fact that the two characters come from very different paths. He said: “I think it’s just one of those things where Luke has the advantage of years of experience. He’s a little older than Danny, he’s sort of been around, done that. He’s been in prison! He’s got some miles, he’s got some experiences… I’m from the streets, and that’s where we operate.”
It seems like an interesting change from the comics.
Although if you think about it, Iron Fist did punch Luke Cage in the face in the first trailer for the upcoming serioes.
Marvel’s The Defenders is set to air all its eight episodes August 18 on Netflix.
SDCC: New Trailer for Marvel’s ‘The Defenders’ Looks INCREDIBLE
The Comic-Con gods have given us an action-filled trailer for the upcoming Marvel’s The Defenders, and it looks amazing.
The trailer is filled with new action scenes and hilarious lines from our four superheroes who have to unwillingly come together to save the city.
The trailer features the reunion of Daredevil and Elektra, as well as Sigourney Weaver’s Alexandra giving Elektra a very confusing analogy about war.

It was also confirmed during Comic-Con that Daredevil and Iron Fist are both getting new seasons.
Marvel’s The Defenders comes out in less than a month, on August 18.
We Got a New Image from Marvel’s ‘The Defenders’
Another image for Netflix’s The Defenders has been released.
The poster features our “gang of four:” Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage (looking like he’s about to hurt someone pretty badly), and Iron Fist.
The image looks like it will be used as a promotional banner for an interview of sorts due to the text on it: “Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist have united to form street-level supergroup The Defenders, the four stars brief us on what to expect.”
Here it is:
