Captain Marvel Get’s Additional and Familiar Casting from the MCU
We haven’t seen any footage from the upcoming Captain Marvel movie. However, we have gotten some set photos and some casting news in the past. But, today we have some casting news that is out of this world.
Clark Gregg as Agent Coulson; Lee Pace as Ronan The Accuser, and Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer. They will all be returning to reprise their respective roles in the new MCU movie.
We last saw Ronan and Korath in Guardians of the Galaxy, and Agent Coulson has been a mainstay on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Of course, we saw both Ronan and Korath die in Guardians.
However, Captain Marvel will be set in the 90’s and will be an origin story. The film follows Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), as she finds herself with her powers when a galactic war fought by two alien races (The Kree and the Skrull), come to Earth.
Production has begun recently, and to celebrate Marvel released a photo of Larson researching the role at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada.
Captain Marvel will open in theatres on March 8, 2019.

Photos of Brie Larson Preparing For Role As Captain Marvel
Brie Larson has been preparing for her upcoming role in Captain Marvel at the Air Force Base.
Photos have been shared on Instagram of Larson wearing her own custom uniform at the Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she received some training in EPT.

Larson also got a tour of the base’s impressive array of jets and managed to get a picture that could be right out of the film. It may not be from the film, but we imagine fans will see Larson get into a jet of her own when the solo film finally hits theaters.
She also took some time to get a few pictures with the soldiers stationed at Nellis, and even signed a copy of Captain Marvel #1.
Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 8, 2019.

Take Look at a Clearer Version of Captain Marvel SDCC Art
Ever since the Captain Marvel panel at San Diego Comic Con unveiled concept art for the movie, the artist who made said concept art has been asked time and time again to upload an HD version.
The bad news, artist Andy Park is not allowed to share the image in high resolution.
The good news, Park is a kind soul and he decided to upload a better version of the art, without going full high resolution.
The image features Brie Larson as Carol Danvers a.k.a. Captain Marvel in her full costume.
We are more than contempt, thanks Andy!

‘Captain Marvel’ Will Take Place in the 90s
It was already revealed that Samuel L. Jackson was going to be part of the cast for the upcoming Captain Marvel, but now we know that the movie will feature both of Nick Fury’s eyes!
You read that right, but no, he won’t be getting a transplant or anything like that.
It was revealed at Marvel’s panel during SDCC that Marvel’s first female-led superhero movie will be set in the 90s.
We also learned that the Skrulls (a race of aliens shapeshifters, basically) will be the villains of the movie.
Fans at the con got some exclusive looks at concept art for the movie and at Captain Marvel’s costume.
