REVIEW: Batman: Gotham By Gaslight Animated Movie
Batman: Gotham By Gaslight is the latest DC Animated movie to hit Blu-Ray today. It’s based on the Graphic Novel of the same name but it’s not an adaptation.
If you want to watch the trailer before reading the review, here it is:

Now before anyone mentions anything, there will be spoilers for the movie down below.
The story takes place in in the 19th century Gotham City where Jack the Ripper is murdering women on the streets and Batman is on the prowl to stop The Ripper. However, after chasing him down and almost catching him, Batman is then arrested and put in jail. Batman later then escapes and tracks down the ripper for one last fight.
The story of the film kind of forgettable which is a shame because the original graphic novel was such a huge success. This feels like if they copied their homework but changed it enough that it looks different.
While this isn’t a straight adaptation of the original graphic novel, it does thrive on its own by not following the source material. However, this also hurts the movie as well because it tries to deviate so much that the eventual twist at the end of Jim Gordon being the Ripper comes as more of a head-scratcher and feels like a forced change that hurts the overall narrative of the film.
The animation style is great, it looks very different from the last few animated movies we have gotten from DC. It has a mix of both 2D and 3D animation and that looks fluent and eye-catching, it captures the atmosphere of a 19th-century
The voice acting is awesome, Bruce Greenwood does the voice of Batman and he does an amazing job. Bruce is no stranger to Batman, he has been in other Batman animated movies and cartoons such as Batman Under The Red Hood and Young Justice. The rest of the voice cast did a great job in the movie as well but most of them were forgettable.
Overall, if you are looking for something different when it comes to DC Animation, Gotham By Gaslight is visually impressive and action-packed. However, the story may be forgettable compared to the original graphic novel, it’s still a good time and shouldn’t be overlooked.
7.5/10

D23: New Info on ‘Wreck It Ralph 2,’ ‘The Incredibles 2,’ ‘Coco,’ and More
Filmmakers and animators from Disney and Pixar gathered at D23 to unveil a bunch of info on their upcoming animated movies.
Chief creative officer of Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios John Lasseter teamed up with the talent in front and behind of the camera from both studios to present new details on the upcoming movies.
It started with the first ever live performance of “Remember Me” from Pixar’s upcoming film, Coco. Anthony Gonzales (who voices Miguel), and Benjamin Bratt (Ernesto de la Cruz) teamed up on stage to perform the song. For the song’s grand finale, more than 160 performers joined Gonzales and Bratt.
“Our film embraces a broad landscape of music,” said director Lee Unkrich. “We were fortunate to have Kristen [Anderson-Lopez] and Bobby [Lopez] create ‘Remember Me’—it’s the signature song made famous by Ernesto de la Cruz, and it embodies the key theme in our story: the importance of remembering loved ones both in life and beyond.”

Bird revealed some details about the film, confirming that The Incredibles 2 will pick up right after the first movie, right when the Underminer comes up and you see the family changing into their supersuits.
However, it seems like now all the action will go to Mrs. Incredible, with Hunter saying “Bob’s actually home with the kids this time and I’m the one out fighting crime.”
The movie is set to hit theatres June 15, 2018.
Ralph Breaks the Internet (a.k.a. Wreck it Ralph 2) brought fans probably one of the most epic moments in Disney history.

In the upcoming movie, Ralph (John C. Reilly), Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) and company will leave the arcade behind and jump right into the wonders of the Internet.
They will encounter a new character, Yesss, an algorithm voiced by Empire‘s Taraji P. TBT: Denver, the Last Dinosaur
Do you remember Denver, the Last Dinosaur?
“Denver, the Last Dinosaur, he’s your friend and a whole lot more…” I clearly remember watching this in the mornings before going to elementary school. I absolutely loved this show and the theme song was too too catchy! A little over 50 episodes were produced, but the show developed a cult fanbase.
Denver, the Last Dinosaur revolved around a group of multiracial California teens and the adventures they have with Denver after they release him from his dino egg. Each show taught a lesson that ranged from conservation to ecology to friendship. Because of that Denver, the Last Dinosaur was a big hit with parents and educators.
The show ran for two seasons. It was nationally syndicated throughout the United States in 1988 with reruns airing until 1990.
Fortunately for fans of the series, you can find the Complete Series on DVD.
